Google Calendar integration

Coming soon

A Google Calendar integration is on the roadmap but not yet built. Once available, it will sync GroundCut jobs to your Google Calendar (or a shared crew calendar) so the day’s queue is visible alongside the rest of your schedule. For now, the crew mobile app queue is the canonical view of the day’s jobs — no calendar sync exists yet.

What the integration does

  • Planned: one-way sync of scheduled jobs from GroundCut to a Google Calendar of your choice.
  • Planned: per-crew calendar mapping so each user can see their assigned jobs in their personal Google Calendar.
  • Planned: changes in GroundCut (reschedule, cancel) reflect on the calendar within minutes.
  • Not planned in v1: changes in Google Calendar writing back to GroundCut (one-way sync only initially).
  • Not planned in v1: customer-side calendar invites for booked appointments.

What’s automated

  • Nothing is built or running today. This integration is at the roadmap stage.

Setup steps

  1. 1Not available yet. There’s nothing to set up.
  2. 2When the integration ships, OAuth setup will live at /admin/settings → Integrations → Google Calendar.
  3. 3In the meantime, the crew mobile app at /operator is the canonical day-of view — and you can export jobs to CSV from /admin/jobs for one-time scheduling needs.

Related GroundCut features

  • Operator queue at /operator (current source of truth for the day).
  • Job scheduling and reschedule flows.
  • Recurring schedules (would benefit most from calendar visibility).

Google Calendar integration FAQs

When will Google Calendar sync ship?+
No firm date. The integration is on the roadmap behind features with more demand signal so far. If Google Calendar sync is a deciding factor for you, contact us — operator demand drives priority. In the interim, exporting tomorrow’s jobs from /admin/jobs to CSV and importing into a calendar manually is a workable bridge.
What about iCal feed instead of Google Calendar OAuth?+
A read-only iCal feed (URL you can paste into Google Calendar / Apple Calendar / Outlook to subscribe to your jobs) is technically simpler than full OAuth and would land first if we build either. Same caveat: roadmap, no firm date.
Does the crew mobile app replace a calendar app?+
For day-of operations, yes — it shows the day’s queue in stop_order, with addresses, lawn outlines, durations, and one-tap status updates. For calendar-style week-view planning, no. The /admin/jobs view has filters by date range but isn’t a calendar grid. Most operators we’ve talked to use the PWA for the day and a separate calendar app for higher-level planning until this integration lands.
Will calendar sync change the price?+
No. New integrations land on the standard $99/mo plan. We don’t charge for individual integrations; you pay one flat price and they’re all included as they ship.
Why isn’t this integrated already?+
Two reasons. First, Google Calendar OAuth has a real maintenance burden — token refresh, quota errors, calendar mapping UX. Second, the alternatives (crew mobile app queue, jobs page filters, CSV export) cover the day-to-day case. We’d rather ship calendar sync once and ship it well than launch a half-version that creates support tickets.
